Thumbs up 'Jet Li's Fearless'- High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth's review of 'Jet Li's Fearless' is up, and it's quite an enthusiastic one. He gives it 4.5 stars (out of 5) for both movie istelf and video, and 4 stars for audio. The only thing lacking in this one is the supplements package, which boasts only a single (albeit excellent) deleted scene.

I highly recommend this movie. If anyone has seen Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury, or Jet Li's remake Fist of Legend, they are trying to find the killer of their master Huo Yuanjia, who Jet Li plays in this movie.

I honestly wasn't that impressed with it. I like Bruce Lee and Jet Li, also have Enter the Dragon on HD DVD... just something about Fearless didn't do it for me.

I bought this one immediately and Kenneth's review was dead-on. Excellent movie, kind of felt like Li's other movie Fist of Legend....with a bigger budget.

After watching it, and not seeing any reviews it doesn't surprise me that it is difficult to find now that there are reviews coming...great movie, good reviews. I know Best Buy seems to continue to carry it, but their asking price is ridiculous....looks like its going to be a Amazon purchase for you.

I absolutely love this movie. It's one of the best martial arts films I've seen in a while - and the story and characters are just as good as the fighting.

I dislike that the reviewer doesn't mention the multiple audio tracks or which track he listened to for the review, though.

the english audio track makes the movie cheesy, i had to go back to sub titles after 30 min or so .... much better than way!

English tracks on foreign films always creates unintentional comedy...especially in martial arts films. Native language is the best way to go.

Absolutely. But did the reviewer listen to that one or the original audio track? Who knows?

A good example is the SDVD version of Ninja Scrolls, watching it in its native language has a VERY different tone than the English version which is completely comedic...night and day difference in my opinion. It doesn't make sense to me why they wouldn't want to keep the same tone. I didn't watch Fearless using the English track so, I don't know how good of a job they did.
