Default 'Freedom 3' – High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth's review of 'Freedom 3' is up. He's enjoying the series and excited by the developments in the latest installment. He says this HD DVD release is another excellent transfer from Bandai Visual, and the Dolby Digital Plus track sounds even better than on previous releases. Unfortunately, unless you're a major Anime fan already familiar with the series, a thin collection of supplements and a high price point for a 25 minute long episode make this a rental.

I contacted Bandai and they offered this link for purchasing 'Freedom 3' -- thought I'd pass it along.

Is this ever going to be sold as one package with them all in? There is no way im paying for single episodes at probably £17.99 a pop!

The same site already has a bundle that includes the first three volumes that as well as an exclusive action figure (Takeru and vehicle) and illustration cards. I would imagine by the end of the series run, there will be a six volume set (along with a hefty price tag).

You can also grab Freedom 3 from RightStuf, I got my copy in the mail today. Same price as the other site but with free shipping over $49. Also there's a huge ADV anime sale going on right now at RightStuf - 10 for $50 or 25 for $100

I picked up the first Freedom for free at a consumer electronics show, and I was really disappointed in the visual style and general pacing of the episode. Do they progressively get better? I really enjoy animation of any sort in HD, but so far this series has left me cold.

sweet, I thought there were 10 volumes
10 volumes would be pretty expensive, but I guess there are only two more to purchase. Makes me feel a little better now and it's less to explain to the wife

Is AMAZON not carrying volume 3 or 4? I've not seen it anywhere. I purchased Vol 1 and 2 from amazon already.
