Yes! I'm glad this didn't get canceled by WB or not released before their cut off date.

I have to admit tho that I'm pretty sad about "the dark knight"

I really wanted that too!

Extras include a "Alternative Theatrical Version with a Controversial Ending" as the studio puts.
The ending I saw was NOT the ending this film deserved. Could it be they actually filmed the real ending (from the book) for the DVD release?

Well I assume Warner wants to make as much money as they could before the cutoff date.

This will probably be my last Warner Hi Def title I purchase. Hopefully they will keep the date and will release this.

I hated the theatrical ending myself. Will Smith was incredible though.

I didn't really like this film. But it's good that it'll get a release before the cut off, for those that'll want to pick it up.

i skipped seeing this in the theaters since i've read the book a few times over the years.

Spoiler:
the book just ended quite abruptly once he realized why they wanted him. we all know hollywood doesn't like anti-climatic endings.

regardless, glad this is coming out in HD so soon after theaters.
gives me a chance to rent and see why i knew i wouldn't like it

I'm glad to hear this.

I hated most of the CGI and the ending but besides that I thought it was pretty good.

I agree with others, the movie is good but has the sudden ending which I walked away unsatisfied with.
