The Ten (2007), starring Adam Brody, Gretchen Mol, Paul Rudd and Winona Ryder will be available to own in high-definition exclusively on HD DVD, for $29.98 SRP a copy. This HD DVD title is now available for pre-order via Amazon.com.

Synopsis:

One of the most highly anticipated comedy titles of the year, The Ten, directed by David Wain (Wet Hot American Summer) and written by Wain and Ken Marino (The State), is a wildly outrageous comedy that tells ten stories based on the Ten Commandments, each one more insanely funny than the last. Boasting an eclectic cast that ranges from Jessica Alba to Adam Brody to Liev Schreiber, the comedy is anchored by the narration of a philandering husband played by Paul Rudd. The Ten is a grand burlesque of interconnected comedic sketches that finally put the sin back in cinema.

I hope that HD DVD comes out swinging and announces 50 HD DVDs to be released in Jan and Feb.
I mean if a one week announcement is set,, it could still happen.

the trailer looks funny... neighbor saying "they're getting a catscan machiene... we need to get a cat scan machiene" ... now watch now that we wabt it... the blu-ray fanboys are going to cry and go"we want it" and it'll end up being on blu and they'll buy the hell out of it... why? just so they can brag that it sold better on their ps3 format...

I'm curious that this appears to be the first HD release of any kind from a smaller "indie" distributor. It's taken them a long time to get into the game, and now it appears they might be backing the wrong horse. Can anyone recall any other HD releases from smaller distributors? Please share. Thanks!
