'Lust, Caution' -- pre-release buzz

Originally announced only for DVD, Universal is now bringing 'Lust, Caution' to HD DVD on February 19 as well:

No specs yet, but it will be the NC-17 version and a HD DVD/DVD combo.

Ever since I moved from Florida...it's been a pain to see "art films".

I like Ang Lee!!! Even if he turns simple scenes into the longest ever.

I think use of the term softcore porn here is a little harsh, by all accounts there's more to this film than the usual Zalman King DTV fare and the sex scenes actually serve the story. Whether the film's to your tastes or not is another matter altogether.

Universal announced The Kingdom pretty close to the release date and the same with Dreamworks with The Heartbreak Kid.

If you are willing to drive 45 minutes or take a train, you can see virtually any art film in D.C. I know there are even more arthouses there now than when I left the area 6 years ago.

Hopefully there might be some hi-def exclusive extras, as the standard def slate is a little stingy. I kinda doubt it though.

EDIT: This is really only nitpicking but shouldn't it say in the page for it that's it rated NC-17 instead of "Unrated" as it does now? Cause unless I'm wrong NC--17 is a rating

Great news! I absolutely loved this one, a beautifuly shot film that should look great in HD.

I just think it's nice that Universal have actually provided the original uncut version instead of the cut film - unlike Fox did with Die Hard 4 on BD.
At least they're giving consumers the better choice!!

:O I might actually go purple for this one, depending if it's good. I'll see it in the theatres soon.
