Default 'Timecop' - High-Def Digest review

Peter's review of 'Timecop' is up. As an HD DVD release, he says this one boasts a surprisingly strong video transfer, but the audio is less noteworthy and there is not a single extra.

I have to agree and it's sweet that I can finally watch it in OAR too! Universal is doing a great job with its Catalogs!

I agree totally with the review. I rented this one off Netflix. I thought it looked pretty good, and the movie was decent. A solid catalog release from Universal.

I actually remember seeing Time Cop in the theater. Like most Van Damme movies for me, once was enough. Peter and Ken are usually dead on with their reviews, which is one of the main reasons why I joined the site. Too bad I will have to miss this good transfer.

Time Cop is a decent movie. It may warrant a purchase for me, but not after I've purchased other titles on my list. I personaly thought Cyborg was Van Damme's best movie.

I have been looking for this title the past two weeks at all local stores. (BB, CC, Suncoast, FYE, Borders, Barnes/Noble, and even gamestop) Hoping someone got it and traded it in or brand new, yet zero luck. Just asking did all you just get it online? I do realize best buy only will have it online per -1****- sku numbers, but thought somebody else would have it locally. Would like this title as I love time travel movies.

I'd much rather Kickboxer, Bloodsport, Awol or Cyborg.

Tough call, I think I'd go for Hard Target (what was he thinking with that mullet?!) or Universal Soilder as his best film even though I really like Kickboxer, Bloodsport & Timecop.

I have a bootleg VHS copy of Woo's director's cut of Hard Target. And IMHO, it's easily Van Damme's best film. Probably Woo's best american film, as well.

The flick is 30 minutes longer, full of trademark woo-isms. He actually made Van Damme look cool.

Oh, it's incredibly violent, as well. I can't believe someone like Criterion hasn't put this version of the film out.

I don't really like the ones that try to be good movies. Silly action is what Van Damme did best. Universal soldier was fun - liked the ear necklace

Looking forward to seeing it. Never have. I always thought there was just a Robocop
It just shipped from my Blockbuster Q.

DVD Town gave this a less than favorable review.
