"Michael Clayton" Coming On HD DVD!

 Feb 19th is the date for both formats. Didn't catch this in the theater so definitely looking forward to this one! no lossless audio unfortunately for either format. The Blu-Ray, in fact, is getting dolby digital 5.1 ONLY! now is that any way to treat your new fiance?

Michael Clayton gets my vote for best film of the year. Smart, suspenseful, fast paced. Very well written. Clooney is excellent.

Was surprised to see this getting a HD DVD release at first, as Fox/Pathe are releasing it in the UK. I'm now glad to see that it's a Warner title in the US and will be getting a release on both.
It's a shame that the tanking of this movie in theaters has reportedly made Clooney wary of riskier projects. He's since pulled out of Joe Carnahan's 'White Jazz' adaptation, and MC's performance is thought to be the main reason.

The article on the front page on hdd seems to imply that the HD DVD will only be regular Dolby Digital like the BD version. However themanroom.com link says the HD DVD will have Dolby Digital Plus. Can we get confirmation and perhaps a correction on the front page article if it is DD+?

Just noticed that USA Today gave this title "Movie of the Year" in today's issue. "Bourne Ultimatum" was number 2!
it was also very interesting to read the titles of the other movies they talked about. Many of them are NOT getting hd format release at present. They also give out the worst movies of the year, and no surprise, many Blu-Ray exclusives are on the list including the dreadful "Wild Hogs" and the Pirates trilogy.
