'Carlito's Way: Rise to Power' - High-Def Digest review

Just posted Kenneth's review of the direct-to-video prequel 'Carlito's Way: Rise to Power.' He was underwhelmed by the film itself, and says its HD DVD debut is relatively unimpressive as well.

Kenneth might just have some free time on his hands around the holidays and is using that to catch up on some of the lower priority releases that have been collecting dust.

I write reviews for another website, and I've been doing the same thing over the past week or so.

As for the prequal,, ugh..movie didnt go anywhere. and the PQ looked like you were watching the cooking channel.

Glad someone let me borrow the SD DVDs I liked the original one and this one was ok but I'm gonna skip both cause I don't think they are movie I will enjoy watching a second time.

The only thing I needed to know about this movie was that

1) Sean Combs is in the movie.
2) Luis Guzman is in the movie.

Fans of the original will see a big problem with #2

thats why it was a straight to video release.

it's like taking say scarface and making it a prequel of him in cuba or do what the video game did do a what if he survived moment lol.

it may sound cool, but un less your using the originals its going to flop.

But the game didn't flop, and it was a pretty decent game.......

I bought this last weekend off of Buy.com with google checkout for about $5.....will be checking it out tonight and lets see how this movie turned out since I am a big fan of the original.
