Default Children Of Men - March 27

Universal Home Video has sent over early details on Children of Men which stars Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, and Michael Caine. The Alfonso Cuarón directed drama will be available to own from the 27th March. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. The extras haven't been revealed in full I'm afraid, although we can confirm that the disc will include deleted scenes, featurettes and more. A HD-DVD/DVD Combo release will also be available from the 27th for $39.98. We'll bring you further details shortly.

Yeah, I heard also this was coming up. I like also that Universal is announcing titles for sooner rather than later. Even though Announced only recently, both "The Good Shephard" and "Children of Men" are announced for March releases.

Oh, and I am so dying to buy this movie! I will have to cancel my European pre-order of it, though.

This one might be our best shot of rivaling Casino Royale. I'll be picking it up for sure.

Actually, so far "The Departed" is doing a surprisingly good job of rivaling "Casino Royale". However that is dual format and it is beating "Casino Royale" on both formats. "Children of Men" will be HD DVD exclusive and I bet there are a lot of people who like to get their hands on it.

Have you guys seen 'Children of Men' it is certainly not a movie that appeals to everybody, like 'Casoni Royal'. When I saw it on the silver screen a cpl of weeks ago, alot of ppl left the cinema mid-movie and I also heard alot of ppl saying after the movie, that the think it was really boring. I have to say I loved it, but I don't see this as a big seller!

Well, I tend to think there is a higher ration of more serious movie watchers in the HD DVD crowd, so likely it will appeal to a larger percentage of them.

I don't think Casino Royale appeals to everybody either. I know I have no interest in seeing it but I know a lot of people do. But most chicks won't like it.

POTC might be a movie that you could say appeals to everybody.

I hope you're right, this movies deserve to sell a Truckload - but i'm affraid that people might be disapointed. This is no typical sci-fi flick... It doesn't have alot of special effects and there is only one action scene in it. This is "the thinking mans" sci-fi - not a big blockbuster movie!
