'Arctic Tale' - High-Def Digest review
Peter's review of 'Arctic Tale' is up. The latest documentary from the makers of 'March of the Penguins,' Peter found the film itself a bit disappointing, but he says the quality of the video and audio holds up fairly well considering the source material, and there are a couple of informative featurettes.

Looks like a charming documentary, I did enjoy March of the Penguins much to my surprise. It was an interesting film. Artic Tale sounds good too, however not sure on whether I am going to purchase.

disapointed
I have to say i am a little disapointed by this review. I really love nature Docs in HD. Planet Earth, Relentless Enemies, and Galapagos are some of the first titles i pull out when i want to impress someone with HDM. I could care less if the actual movie isn't good but a 3 out of 5 pq is just unaccepable for a hd nature doc IMO. Anyway i will probably knock this up to the top of my netflix queque instead of the blind buy that i was planning on for this title. I am definitly gonna screen this first before i invest any cash in it.

Why
I just finished watching this and the pq rating is dead on. What were the filmakers thinking? A nature doc should feel like you are looking out a window. This release is full of noise and grain.

Just saw it,, and it was the worst recent documentary I've seen!!
I know polar bears are cute but stick with Galapagos...he'll Planet Earth has better polar bear scenes in a show not sowly focussed on them! I enjoy Queen Letifah but not here..here voice is heartfelt and warm but the other narrations in Galapagos and Planet Earth were soooo much better! I'm sorry,, but any movie that adds fart noises is not a "documentary"! Movie: 2/5 PQ: 2.5/5 AQ: 2/5 Overall: 2/5
