Default 'Picture This' -- pre-release buzz

Newcomer Ally Distribution is jumping into HD DVD with their first release, the snowboarding video 'Picture This':

http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/picturethis.html

It's a slim release, with no announced extras and Dolby Digital audio only.

Retail is $32.95.

I'm not a massive snowboarding fan but I'd buy it for $20.

It looks like the PQ should be pretty amazing.

Hold on, so this is already out and it's also a combo disc?

Does it at least come in a red HD-DVD case?

yah i ordered it today and got home from work and my buddy had it in hand waiting to watch it, no red case, but comes in a purple cardboardish box, kind of like some cds come in, but dvd size, and it is a combo, and comes with a ton of stickers, box has no specs or upc, but i paid 32 shipped for mine and watching this video, it is nice

and regarding the bare boned comment, its a snowboard video, they almost never include extras

Ugh, I hate getting HD-DVDs in no HD-DVD cases.

How long is it?

The more I hear about it, the more I think I'm just going to pass on it until I can find it on the cheap.

its actually been out for quite awhile. I've had my copy for about a week and a half. Great snowboard flick. This and Transformers was my only reason for going "Purple".

You can pick them up on ebay or at almost any snowboard shop. I got mine at Liberty Board Shop in Brea, CA

sweet! i thought warren miller would make the first hd skiing/snowboarding disc... looks like warren miller was beaten to the punch. I really like warren miller because it is extreme skiin and snowboarding and their videos are an hour and a half long and show up on hd cable here and there... will definitly buy this... I love snowboarding and skiing... i'm jealous of pihb, though... the mountains in pa have a summit elevation of 2,000 feet and a 300-1000 foot vertical drop... longest trail is a mile and that is a green circle that winds back and forth across the whole mountain... yo pihb... want to ski pa... check out our biggest ski areas

it's funny the blue mountain resort has two double diamonds... but i think they are blue squares to be honest with you... if you enter jfbb and look at the big boulder trail map, it is almost all terrain parks (almost all other trails get turned into bordercross)

= these videos make me jealous of people like you that live near the good hills.
