Default 'Old School' - High-Def Digest

Peter's review of 'Old School' is up. He quite enjoyed the film
itself, and says this HD DVD release from DreamWorks is also a winner,
boasting a surprisingly strong transfer and a nice batch of extras as
humorous as the film itself. The only real disappointment here is a
Dolby Digital surround track that just doesn't cut it.

Well this just shows how much me and Peter's taste differ on movies. Only 3 and a 1/2 stars out of 5 for movie quality? I guess he doesn't like comedies very much.

I am really happy to see the 4/5 PQ score on this one. I never owned the SD DVD version of this one, and this would be a great opportunity to get pick this one up and support Paramount.

Easter eggs are available for Anchorman and Old School HD DVDs. I do not have the discs in front of me right now, so I can not give you the exact locations. However, if you go to the special features on both discs and press either right/left at each special feature link you will see a few easter egg logos appear.

I found two deleted scenes on Old School. Both were available on the standard DVD - extended Snoop performance and the other scene begins with Will Ferrell throwing bottles at the tv. I found one easter egg on Anchorman, but do not remember exactly what it was.

Why does the video part of the review talk about both mpeg and VC1 encodes?

This movie was lame. I think I'll just get Anchorman.
