Default 'Hot Rod' - High-Def Digest review

Just posted Peter's review of 'Hot Rod.' He says this middling film has received an HD DVD to match, with video, audio and supplements that are decent but nothing more.

Full review here:

Didn't expect much for PQ, it wasn't much to begin with.

Ok, this is what I don't get, why would Paramount include a TrueHD track on this crappy movie but not on their big titles like Transformers and Shrek 3? I know this has been discussed to death on this site but I just don't get it.

Because the TrueHD doesn't fit on their big titles, but will on a hour and a half long comedy with few special features...

...Anyway, I just watched this movie last night (On SD) and loved it. Big fan of Samberg and Non Sequiturs, and this one delivered in spades. Not buying it at 32.99 or whatever it'll be at Future Shop here, but next time Paramount has one of those 19.99 sales I'll be all over it.

Slightly dissapointing review, although I did not have high expectations for it in the first place. Defiantly a Netflix rental for me.

Exactly, it is paramount just being lazy. The upcoming harry potter goblet of fire hd dvd is 161 mins with plenty of extra features and still has a true hd track.

Yeah sorry to see it wasn't what I had hoped for, but the movie wasn't that good either.
