Default Slither -- High-Def Digest review

A nice one for Halloween:

http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/slither.html

Thought it was a solid disc. Nothing extraordinary, but certainly well recommended if you're a fan of the movie. This one is a bit of a sleeper, too, so i hope it does well on HD DVD.

Nice review. But when push came to shove, I ordered 12 Monkeys instead of this one...

I think I'll buy this one as a Blind Buy. I love this genre of movies. I thought it was interesting when I saw the trailer.

Once I get around to getting some HD DVD hardware I will consider putting this one in my basket. I hope it won't still cost $40 though...

I personally thought it was OK, but didn't really hate it or love it.

wierd. I was just looking at this thread yesterday and decided not to say anything, but since it came back up, why not?

Slither is, in my opinion, one of the GREATEST, most entertaining movies to grace my local theater in YEARS. It is absolutely awesome.

And as far as the HD DVD vs. DVD video quality question... it's a very huge difference. Black levels are much deeper, and there is FAR less grain.

My secondary TV is in my livingroom and is a 42" Panasonic Viera 1080p plasma screen. I've got a Samsung BD-UP5000 connected to that for all my HD needs. No surround sound there, though.

It's a fun little movie, I can recommend it to all who enjoy tongue in cheek horror comedies.

I have an SD copy. You pretty much know what to expect with this film. It's a fun movie that's actually well made. Doesn't take itself seriously at all (which is a good thing!). If your into genre films then definitely blind buy it.
