Default 'Pride & Prejudice' - High-Def Digest review

Just posted Kenneth's review of 'Pride & Prejudice.' Although the film
itself may not seem like high-def ready material, Kenneth says this
this HD DVD boasts a beautiful video transfer and a surprisingly
strong Dolby TrueHD audio track.

This had excellent PQ and AQ; easily among the top tier transfer among both formats.

Before reading the review I thought I would totally skip this because I thought it wouldn't be something I would enjoy sitting through, but after reading the review I might give it a try - thanks

It was quite a good movie, and this is from someone who primarily buys action, comedy, and sci-fi films. Might get the HD DVD someday...

This is easily one of my favorite films in this genre and its not a surprise that this is getting solid reviews. This was a no brainer for me either way and I cant wait to watch this. Might have to follow suit and make this our Thanksgiving evening movie selection.

Hmmmmm. Maybe I will give this a go. My wife may like it. A possible blind buy.

"Yes, this one's initially likely to be of more interest to your wife or girlfriend, ...."

I don't have a wife or girlfriend, seeing as I don't happen to be a lesbian, but this is a great movie and definitely will be buying the HD DVD. Just curious why the reviewer assumes only heterosexual men and lesbians read these reviews.

I watched this in high school a few years ago (yes i'm still crazy young) and completely ignored it and fell asleep. I'm thinking about giving it another try as the person I am now is way different from the person I was then. I'm actually interested now.

I've never seen it, but got it for free with my A3, gonna watch it today or tomorrow. I did the same thing with Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind. didn't care for it but I bought it yesterday on HD from Amazon. Comes in Tues.

An excellent movie. It did have to smash quite a few lengthy plot points into just a few minutes, and hence lost some of the impact of those plot points, but it still managed to do a great job of telling the story. All the necessary plot lines were THERE, unlike other condensed version of the book.

I didn't have time to watch the whole thing, but did look at a few scenes. The scene under the building in the rain where Elizabeth confronts Darcy? Fantastic. Keira looks good in high definition.
