'Beerfest' - High-Def Digest Review

Just when you think you've got him pegged as an art movie snob, Peter Bracke goes and gives 'Beerfest' a positive review... kind of. He admits it's not a great movie, but he also says he found it quite funny. As an HD DVD release, this one also impressed, earning 3.5 stars (out of 5) for video, and a solid 4 stars for audio.

I watched it last night and I also enjoyed it. Thought the picture was pretty good as well as the sound. I like these kinds of movies so it was an easy buy for me but I would probably agree it would be a good fun rental for most.

I don't know about his comment that he likes it even though it's a bad movie. It's not an intelligent comedy, but so what? What else does a comedy need to do besides make you laugh and feel good? The movie obviously did that for the reviewer, as it did for me. I think that makes it a fine comedy. ~ ~

I just ordered it from amazon. I couldn't believe the markup at BB for this one... 36.99!!! It's 19.95 at amazon. Unbelievable!!

Just watched this last night. I know its not the type of movie for everyone but wow, there is not one scene that looked flat. I would give the PQ an excellent.

Looks good and even made me chuckle a few times. Not bad, not awesome either. I own it(blind buy) and am glad it was not another mindless juvenile comedy which is what I was worried about.
