Why I went HD-DVD over Blu-Ray.

First and formost I would like to say that I almost went the Blu-Ray way with the PS3. But i changed my mind. The reasons where logical and simple. First HD-DVD has more to offer when it comes to action based movies. Yea Blu-Ray has Spiderman, but HD-DVD has Transformers,King Kong,Mi tril,Rundown,Riddick,Fast and the Furious, etc. Secondly, HD-DVD has a exclusive deals with Universal and Paramount-subdivisons with mtv,nickalodeon,dreamworks pictures. Third, Sony has Disney, but to be honest I want to see action flicks on HD (like TRANSFORMERS), not kid movies and to me the disney movies i have on sd-dvd look good enough already (you can't really tell much, just a tad sharper).Fourth, I am a movie lover and i love how HD-DVD features work and can connect to the internet to get bonus content. Fifth, It's cheaper and i got 5 free movies by mail, plus 2 free movies on top of that. So i decided to go HD-DVD. Yea blu-ray was appealing to me at first but now I am a proud supporter of HD-DVD and now am happy with the format. Thank you.

Good to here and welcome to both HDDVD and the forums. Hope we make your time here an enjoyable one. Oh, and keep in mind that there are a few blu exclusives available for us via import.

I also decided to go HD-DVD, but in the end will probably end up format neutral, when I eventually get a PS3, whenever a decent game comes out.

There is a separate, personalized section for all the "Why I went blah blah blah format" threads at the top of the forum page. If everyone made one of these and put them in the regular forum, the whole page would be full of them.
