[QUOTE] Personally, I want ONLY the original "Grindhouse" that I saw in the theater. I just post the news ok. But this just shows that all these "great" Blu-Ray's are available for importing. I know it's expensive, but it's a major plus. It's really NOT happening the other way around very much.
the only negative about no region for Hd-DVD (except cost of importing) is the decision by studios to delay releases. like New Line and a few others.
other than that, it's a MAJOR plus. -

I didn't care much for Extinction the first time i watched it but each time i like it more so i'll be jumping on this one especially if an unrated or directors cut comes out.

I understand. I was just saying.

btw there are rumors that the regular "Grindhouse" will be on the super dvd release that is going to have both movies on it. seems like seemless branching ought to be able to do this. Here's to wish'in and hope'in and.. -

How is the PQ on the two Defender?
I ordered them through Amazon.de but because of an error in their listing of these titles for HD DVD they canelled my order
I wrote them upset
and they told me to reorder them and they surprised me with free s/h -eur14 and "Resident Evil:2" FREE
YAY.. I really didn't care for part 2 as much so that was a nice re-price
Oh and mine were shipped out a couple of days ago. -

i was a bit disapointed with residenet evil as its only a mpeg 2 transfer.
dont get me wrong it does look a wee bit better than the standard dvd( but only by a wee little bit) but come on this is the second title constintine films has done as a mpeg2.
whats the point of releasing in hd if you arent going to go all out with your transfer.
the sound is excellent!!
i havent watched part 2 yet.

In all honesty I think we can pretty much chalk Weinstien up for at least dual format support at this point in time. Barring some kind of miracle by the HD DVD group I just dont see this kind of move by a studio in the position that Wienstien is in to mean very good news. No news is not good news when a comapny is in big finacial trouble like Weinstien is and I guarantee after losing Paramount that BD is more than likely willing to do whatever they can to steal one away from HD DVD, even if it only means making them go dual format.
So officially you can still say that they are HD DVD exclusive but are there really any people left that truly believe this? I for one dont and like I said I am fully expecting them to either go BD exclusive or dual format. I could be wrong but the signs and the silence all point to a bad day for HD DVD.Home Theatre Gear
