Agree, a wonderful underrated film. Pre-ordered - I'll likely watch this alone since my wife has seen it before and refers to it as a "guy-flick".

"Somebody's pullin' me close to the ground.
I can sense, but I can't see. I ain't panicked.
I been here before. Same as when I got popped on 8th Street.
Don't take me to no hospital, please.
F*****g emergency rooms don't save nobody.
Son of a bitches always pop you at midnight...
...when all they got is a Chinese intern with a dull spoon.
Look at these suckers scramblin' around. What for?
My Puerto Rican ass ain't supposed to have made it this far.
Most of my crew got washed a long time ago."

Carlito's Way is an absolutely amazing film. I have it on DVD and love it so much that I may still get it on HD DVD.

Aaaah... you missed the best quote of all:

"You think you're big time? You gonna f****n' die big time. Here comes the pain!"

You can listen to it here. So classic.

Did anyone have any disc problems on chapter 19 (the last chapter before the end credits)? Mine locked up and gave me an error code. Took it out, cleaned it up and same thing. I missed the very end!!!! Someone tell me what happens after he gets shot.
Edit: This was a NF rental.

The movie looked fantastic on HD, and one of Al Pacino's best performance. Always been a fan of the movie, I'm big time Pacino fan, so owning it on HD-DVD is even sweeter.

Now I want Scarface on HD-DVD. Any rumors?

Haven't heard any rumors, but it's a Universal title so I'm sure they'll get to it eventually.

HaHa! That's the greatest line! I remember his ass was good as dead in that bathroom. His words was his only weapon! That part was fierce.

I'm definitely going to buy Carlito's Way on HD DVD!

Alright guys. Nobody helped me out. Fortunately the making of feature on the disc played fine and basically showed the end of the movie. I figured it was John Leguizamo's character (Benny) that did it. Loved the very end where Al is looking at the paradise picture.
Great movie. I think I will watch it again before I send it back. (even though it cuts out at the end)
