Excellent movie, especially if you like Princess Bride style movies. Very much looking forward to this.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and my wife saw it in theaters twice. It is a very entertaining tongue in cheek fantasy. Not Princess Bride good, but still worth watching.

I saw it late in its run and I was amazed it didn't do better, and it scored very high on Rotten Tomatoes.

I don't think they promoted it enough. If I owned an HD-DVD player this is one I'd purchase.

You're definitely one of the very few. The movie was terrific, the cast was mostly very entertaining, the music was engaging and well done visual effects glittered across the entire film. I saw it three times in the theater, and had no idea what I was going into the first time I saw it. Definitely a worthwhile picture and one I've no doubt will find its audience in home video. This will become a cult classic.

This movie may not have done well because of the horrible promo done for it, but it really is an awesome, awesome movie and it should look breathtaking in HD. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes movies such as The Princess Bride.

I really think it will find a huge audience on home video like Donnie Darko or The Big Lebowski did (obviously it's not the same kind of film, but I think it'll gain a following just as big).

Yay! Finally announced! Hopefully I can preorder it from amazon soon enough. I waited not watching it in the theatre so I can pick it up on HD DVD instead.

It was definitely worth seeing in the theatre on the big screen, but you'll enjoy it on HD. This is definitely the kind of family favorite you can watch time after time and still enjoy.

The critics gave it an average grade of a B. I'll be buying it, need more family movies in high def.

I hadn't heard of this movie but I just watched the trailer and it looks pretty cool.

I was a little worred when I saw IceDragon said it was really bad but most everyone else says its good.

Most likely this will be a blind buy for me.

I went to see this movie because Matthew Vaughan directed and it had a stellar cast. I didn't expect to like it. In fact, I expected it to suck. But I wound up really liking it and thinking the entire time "this would ROCK on HD DVD".

Then the Paramount coup happened...

"eventually scrapping up a total worldwide gross of $64 million."

That's actually a fairly disingenuous remark... it's not out every where yet. It comes out in the UK cinemas on October 19th... It's not against much so it might do fairly well here.
Bizarre that they took a long time to release it here as it was made here and is mostly a British film....

Thanks for that. I loved Princess Bride, I also enjoyed The 10th Kingdom, Merlin, and other fantasy-esque movies. The trailers looked good, this is a definite buy for me as well. Be cool if they did a slipcover with unique packaging.
