Default 'Patch Adams' - High-Def Digest review

Kenneth's review of 'Patch Adams' is up. Although he loathed the film itself, he says this HD DVD release is another catalog winner from Universal, boasting impressive video, a technically solid
TrueHD, and the disc contains all of the significant features from the Collector's Edition DVD.

WHy would anyone loathe this movie? I can understand that it is not everyone's cup of tea, but there is very little to loathe about it.

I already bought this one since I am a fan of Robin Williams for some of his more serious titles (bring us the "World According to Garp" and "The Fisher King", please!).

Which is exactly why I skip the actual movie review and only read the Video and Audio portions of every film reviewed on here. I could care less what any of the reviewers on here think of the movies themselves. I just want to know if the HD video looks good and audio sounds good.

this movie is really incredible and anyone who's not seen it should give it a whirl

the 1.5 mbps dts track found on the special universal edition was a big step up in clarity from the regular collectors dvd edition, so i can only imagine how much better this truehd track resolves all the dialogue

this movie should make you laugh your ass off and shed a tear or two - very moving and never forced, plus it's based on the true story of patch adams

I agree. Some of the reviews they give the movies on this site are laughable
They should stick to writing a synopsis, then grade the video and audio, and the extras.

Cheers
