Default 'Best of HD DVD' box sets -- pre-release chatter

Warner has announced two new entries in its 'Best of HD DVD' box set series:

http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/best...ay_action.html
http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/best...ay_family.html

As with the already-announced Blu-ray versions, the Action pack features 'Alexander Revisited,' 'Troy Director's Cut,' 'Wyatt Earp' and 'Blood Diamond.'

The Family pack features 'Scooby-Doo,' 'The Ant Bully,' 'Tim Burton's Corpse Bride' and 'Happy Feet.'

As with the last batch, the discs are all identical to the stand-alone versions, and list price is $84.99 a pop.

So, just to confirm... are these individually packaged in the proper cases as per the standalone versions (obliviously with the additional box around them)? I guess what I'm trying to ask is can they be separated out like the matrix box set?

I glanced at the Blu-Ray version yesterday, it looks like a paper sleeve over 4 regularly packaged retail movies (and shrinkwrapped as a bundle).

I think these are aimed at the newbie adopter. I have 2 of the action set and 3 of the family already.

I agree with another poster on here WB should split up the Matrix Trilogy for the holidays. The have individual boxes in the boxset so no reason it cant be done as the original would do good business as a stand alone title.

Not sure why theyre saying catch up. DVD Times reported the Blu-ray & HD DVD version the same time as when HDD first reported the Blu-ray version.

Warner bringing two new "Best of" sets in November

Plot Synopsis:

'The Best of Blu-ray, Action' is the latest in Warner's continuing series of high-def compilations. Each volume bundles a collection of previously-released Blu-ray releases in a discounted box set.

Included in this collection are: 'Happy Feet,' 'Tim Burton's Corpse Bride,' 'Scooby-Doo' and 'The Ant Bully.'
Somebody needs to fix this. The HD-DVD Family set really isn't the Blu-ray Action set.
