Default 'Mr. Bean's Holiday' -- pre-release buzz

Universal is bringing the summer sorta-hit 'Mr. Bean's Holiday' to HD DVD as a combo November 27:

http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/mrbeansholiday.html

Tech specs include the usual 1080p/VC-1 video and Dolby TrueHD.

No extra details yet, but stay tuned.

Retail is $39.98.

Surely this is the ultimate system selling title for HD-DVD?

I have the UK import and found the film a delight. The PQ is quite good; I'm sure it is what the U.S. will be getting including the supplements.

I'm not being biased. Someone suggested that Knocked Up would be a system seller. This is along a similar vein.

Definetly going to pick this movie up. I haven't seen it in theater, but like Johnny English, I waited for it to come out to home version and ended up enjoying the movie alot more than what reviewers have said.

May look into this one a bit. Never had the desire to see it in theaters. If the reviews are good...I may give it a shot.

It's made 220 million worldwide now. Only 30 million in the US though.

I hired this one out in Australia (on HD-DVD), and I have to say it was actually pretty funny, and supported a FANTASTIC transfer.

Definately worth hiring for a good laugh. It's silly and predictable, but still worth the rent.
