Default Forbidden Planet - November 14 - pre-release buzz

Release Announcement:
http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...DVD_Titles/313

Another great classic, only this one in a deluxe tin. The $59.95 price tag is a bit steep, but cool to see HD DVD is finally getting collectible packaging and the like.

OMG ! I wasnt sure if the rumors about this movie were true. I thought I might have to wait until 2007 ! Also I thought that I would have to get the SD-DVD to get the Robby ! I am stoked ! For once I don't care what it costs. This is MINE !

I'm with you on this one Maxx, I can’t wait for this release. Plus I'm also a sucker for tin packaging!

Yeah, I thought about picking this up but that tin case has to be quite impressive if I'm going to spend $60 on it!

And LD was a format I passed on altogether for that very reason.

I agree it is expensive, but at this point we have no idea how it looks. Either way this one looks like a collector's item...

Amazon just listed 'Forbidden Planet' on HD DVD today, and it seems like there are two versions:

Collector's Edition ($41.90 at Amazon)

and

Non-Collectors ($19.99 at Amazon)
