Has anyone heard anything yet?

The HD DVD press conference began over an hour ago. Does anyone have any news?

Long time lurker, first time poster....so hello all.

Just got back from the Venetian. Not much exciting to be honest. The promise of 300 titles in the next 12 months and a couple of titbits (although some not unsurprising)...Off the top of my head..

The Good Shepherd
Flags of Our Fathers
Star Trek (remaster of original series)
Scarface (very excited about this)

As I mentioned, not specific title announcements, these titles were mentioned in passing....No New Line announcements either, which I was really hoping for.

Unfortunately on the Combo front you can expect more not less. They just announced at the Press Conf a full and continuing commitment to the Combo format - "To smooth the transition for consumers"

YAY - Was getting worried lately about the lack of news while Blu-Ray steams ahead with releases... this is good news indeed.

The Departed,” “The Good Shepherd,” “Flags of Our Fathers,” “Babel,” the entire “Harry Potter” series, “The Matrix” trilogy and “Blade Runner.” Hit TV series will also appear on HD DVD, including “Battlestar Gallactica,” “The Sopranos,” and the original episodes of “Star Trek,” which have been digitally remastered.

Blade Runner is an excellent Sci-Fi, hope the clean up the print on HD. There seems to be so many little print imperfections on SD DVD.
