I'm excited about the Jack Ryan Collection, but there is something that worries me. On Amazon's site they list the box set as 1 disc. Is this possible... to release over eight hours of 1080p format on one HD-DVD disc? Maybe Amazon's information is incorrect. Opinions anyone?

Certainly an error. I am sure each movie will have its own disc...

Horrible cover art.

I would be a lot more excited about this collection if it didn't include Sum of All Fears.

Haha. They should replace Sum of All Fears with another Harrison Ford movie like Frantic.

I actually just watched Patriot games a few weeks back and wow was that a great film. It had been a few years since I had seen i and I really forgot just how great of film that is. I am really looking forward to this set and if it means I have to buy Sum of all Fears so I can get some juicy Patriot Games and Hunt For Red OCtober on HD then so be it. My Wife actually likes Mr Afflek so she might actually enjoy it.

Wow I wish I could go back and watch these films for the first time in HD. What a treat that would be. I am not gonna give you the rundown on each of these films as you can go to IMDB.com and get a much better overview of them and it woud save me a boatload of time . I will say that both Patriot Games and Hunt For Red October are 2 of my all time favorite films and they will be awsome in HD.

Trust me buy them and you wont be disappointed. Damn I really am jealous that you get to see these for the first time in HD. Im all bummed out now, lol.

Jack Ryan is the main character for each movie... Alec Baldwin played him in the "Hunt For Red October", Harrison Ford took over the role for "Patriot Games" and "Clear & Present Danger" and Ben Affleck was somehow chosen for the 4th title "Sum of All Fears"... Red October is one of my top 3 favorites of all time, and if you haven't seen it this would be an excellent chance to... Or check out HDNet Movies if you can't wait for the set, they run it frequently...

Yep its like James Bond has all of his different films and different adventures, This is really no different except instead of a double O agent from MI6 you get a pretty average joe from the CIA, lol. I know it might not sound very exciting watching some average joe from the CIA as compared to some 007 but they are tom Clany stories and this guy can write like nobody else can regarding global affairs, war and espionage. They really are some fantastic films.

I have to say I am really excited about these movies coming out. I can even take "Sum of all Fears" as a good "popcorn flick" it is in no way though close to the others in this collection.
