Expensive, but this will be my Christmas present for myself . The new extras and TrueHD are way more than I hoped for.

Great news!! Have avoided jumping into "battlestar" while knowing this was on the horizon. No way I can afford this with everything else come Christmas, so I'll unfortunately have to wait till like maybe March.
gotta get the Trek set!
I can hear the groans now.
Sorry, you had to grow up on it to appreciate it.

Is the miniseries across two disks? Because there is a PiP behind the scenes extra on disks one and two for the mini series.

It certainly appears that the mini-series will span 2 discs. What is the total run-time for the mini-series?

I'm happy to see this announced. I have not yet watched BSG, but I have a few friends that love the show, so I will probably enjoy it also.

Anyone have a link to the official release? It looks real enough, but I couldn't see anything on the Universal site about it.

I really hope it's true. I'll be buying this for sure. Great series. Wish Firefly had four seasons like this one though

The DVD version of the mini-series is about 3 hours (183 mins). So with all those extras it makes sense it would be on two discs.

Man, what's up with these pricings nowadays? Are they trying to force people to keeps their DVDs and not upgrade?

As much as I would like to grab this, I already have both the mini-series and season one on DVD. And the extras on this aren't enough for the premium price upgrade.

Who's glad they bought an HD DVD player? Oh yeah, it's me, baby! Knowing this show and "Heroes" would come to HD DVD sold me on the format.

I don't know where any official announcements are where I can link you to, but I'm a member of their retail site, and just checked, and sure enough, there's the title announcement! This is official.

Not all the expensive considering it's the mini-series and the first season. I've watched them all but i wouldn't mind haveing just the min-series in HD.

Agreed, the value seems very reasonable to me, especially since after discounts it will be a lot closer to the price I paid for Heroes, around $59.
