Disc Problems With Riddick?

Ive had my 360 add-on for a month now. Ive got 23 HD DVDs...and the first 22 played perfectly. I picked up Chronicles of Riddick last night...and I go to watch it this morning...nothing. My 360 just keeps saying : "Reading...". Anyone else have problems with this movie on their 360?

By the way...I popped in a few other movies after it wouldn't work, and they played normally...Still no Riddick.

I had Corpse Bride not work for me and I returned it for a new one, and no problem ever since. I'm starting to think that some of the early releases might of had a bad batch here and there.

Well, I don't have Riddick (I want to get it though) but I do have Pitch Black, and it plays perfectly on my 360.

There must be some lemon HD-DVD's out there because I had to return 2 copies Superman Returns 2 that would not play on my HD-XA1 or my HD-A2, but oddly played in the store units. Finally on the 3rd disc from a different BestBuy store worked flawlessly on my A2. It's possible that the BestBuy store I purchased the 1st two just had a bad batch. Not surprised thought when you are churning out hundred's of thousands of these discs (BD are not excluded) your going to have a few defective one. //PT

That's why I get nervous ordering online due to the convenience factor of being able to return these discs in case of these types of problems, which in my opinion seems to happen more than I'm comfortable with.

yea right now, being so new into the market, there is a much much greater chance of you getting a bad patch and like others stated, its much easier to return and exchange at BBY then to return it to amazon

My copy of Riddick played fine on my 360 Add-on.

Yea, Pitch Black played flawlessly also...I had my girlfriend return Riddick to Best Buy...I will check to see if the new one works when I get home in the morning.

UPDATE...Popped my new copy of Riddick in the 360 addon this morning...PERFECT! Great looking movie!!

excellent! such an awesome movie. have yet to see it on HD but i love the movie. come onn blu-ray release so i can see it lol.

You might be in for a long wait since it's a Universal title, but it did look amazing in HD.
