    For Full Metal Jacket:

    A superb ensemble falls in for Stanley Kubrick’s brilliant saga about the Vietnam War and the dehumanizing process that turns people into trained killers.     Full Metal Jacket, A Clockwork Orange, and 2001: A Space Odyssey--I can't wait! My wallet will be sick (Star Trek making it sick to begin with) after October. It may need some weeks leave.

    Is there going to be any reason to hold on the original HD DVD release of Full Metal Jacket (besides just being a completist)?

    I'm curious myself. Shining got awesome pq. So I can only hope FMJ looks ten times better then the original HD release.

    i went to buy it but everyone had the old release... circuit city had none of the kubrick hd-dvds, best buy had all but FMJ, everywhere else only carries a handfull of hd titles if any

    I had them all (except 2001) pre-ordered from DVDPlanet and they all shipped yesterday except Full Metal Jacket. Odd.
