Default 'Breakfast Club' -- High-Def Digest Review

Peter's new review for 'The Breakfast Club' (out today from Universal) is mixed. He calls this HD DVD "a decent enough release," but concludes that if you already own the film on standard-def DVD, there isn't much reason here to upgrade.

That's a shame, seems like the studio is setting up for a deluxe edition down the road.

Just watched it, and I must say I was impressed. Very nice PQ for what it is. Good stuff, definately worth a rent!

BTW, this wouldn't play on my HD-A1, just did the Universal logo then an error code. Played fine on my RCA, tho. Both firmware v2.0. Not sure why.

Default Breakfast Club Error

The BC won't play on my XA2, v1.5, I get a system error after the Universal logo. Some else noticed a similar glitch.

So what do we do now ? Just wait for later firmware upgrades ?
