Default 'Dante's Peak' - High-Def Digest review

The latest Universal catalog title to hit HD DVD, Peter says 'Dante's Peak' holds up remarkably well for a ten year-old master, earning solid four (out of five) star ratings for both video and audio. Though he was disappointed that several of the extras from the Collector's Edition DVD got trimmed from this release, he says this one's still definitely worth a look...

I know a number of people want this title, so I am glad to hear it is a winner. I am still on the fence, though it will probably be a good thrill ride.

I absolutely love this film - I've had a soft spot for it ever since I watched it way back in like middle school. Glad to hear that it holds up well, and I'll be picking this one up for sure.

I finally decided, with urging from my wife to order it. Cool disaster flick. Glad to read the positive review. I'll sell my SD this weekend.

This movie 'blows away' Volcano in every aspect. This is a must buy for me.

Agreed. Volcano was an embarassment, but Dante's Peak was decent. I've been waiting for this one.

Default Just ordered...

Already have the regular DVD but this is one of my wife's favorite disaster flicks. Too bad it's lacking Dolby TrueHD but Dolby Digital Plus can still rock our house!

Really for $19.95 at Amazon this release looks to be a winner. Two good reviews on this title, the other being at www.upcomingdiscs.com.

i just got done watching it, boy i had to hunt allover the place today before work to find this, circuit city (which normally is great about new hd dvd release both new and catalog titles) didnt have it in any of the LA stores, there computer in store had that and all the new hddvd and bluray releases as availble online only. and then i went to ameoba records who normally get everything and they didnt have it neither did bestbuy(but i expected them not to) i finnally found it at virgin records right next door to work, it cost me 26 dollars before tax with my hollywood and highland discount. a little more than i wanted to spend but iam happy to have it now.

the picture was amazing. great job on this one. well iam going to watch my mullholland drive import hddvd now before bed.
