Default 'Being John Malkovich' - High-Def Digest review

Kenneth's review of 'Being John Malkovich' is up. He calls the film itself a "masterwork of modern surrealist cinema," and says this HD DVD edition more than does it justice, with video and audio that both offer a nice upgrade over the standard-def DVD.

this is a great movie, i thinkn this another example though of needing to take the directors artistic choices in shooting the film into account.

You, sir, are correct! Spike Jonze and the DP add a weird "from-another-dimension" feel to the entire film. I thought it looked excellent and exactly how I remember it in the theater. I couldn't be happier.

this is starting to get annoying that the reviewer doesnt seem to take these things into account when reviewing the picture quality.

sounds like a must buy, I was getting worried with all the mediocre PQ reviews lately so I hadn't pre-ordered BJM, but looks like I wont be disappointed if I buy now.

I agree that this isn't going to ever be demo material, but that's not the kind of film this is.

However, watching the disc tonight on my Tosh D2 player, I noticed lipsync being slightly off throughout. I'm surprised that no one else seems to had this issue.
