Default 'Alexander: The Unrated Final Cut' -- pre-release buzz

Yikes, do we really need 45 more minutes of 'Alexander?'

In any case, I applaud Warner for continuing to support these redux editions. Can't wait for 'Blade Runner' myself, though...

45 minutes? I believe that's about how long it took me to walk out on this one in the theatre.

It wasn't great but I don't think it was that bad.

Did someone say 'Blade Runner' on HD-DVD!

I guess I'm one of the few who did enjoy 'Alexander.' Not a terrific action epic, if what you're expecting is action. The movie's more artsy than action and should be read an allegory of western imperialism and megalomania, as in the present Bush administration.

It is not an awful film, or at least I did not think so. There are worse films. Some of which have won Best Picture Oscars.

I disagree. This movie was awful. It is the only movie I have ever walked out on in any theatre.

Well 45 minutes is a LOT of story. I'll try this one as a rental or a blind buy. I'm feeling lucky.

I definitely do not want to miss out on the salaciousness.

I suffered through its 3 hour entirety in theatres. While I applaud the trend of director's cuts on high definition discs, this movie is just awful...

I've probably watched over 100 DVDs this year and there are only two that I stopped less than an hour in as being a complete waste of time.

Alas, Alexander was one of them.

I like Stone's movies generally and I think Farell is a good actor but this was so wooden it was painful to watch. For once the critics got it right (actually I think they were too kind).

I though this movie was pretty long myself. While not as awful as Battlefield Earth was, in my opinion, I don't know if I could sit through an extra 45 minutes, even if Angelina was naked the entire time. But I'll probably pick it up anyway as it is HD DVD.
