Thumbs up 'Casino' -- High-Def Digest review

Another great catalog remaster from Universal:

Great transfer, soundtrack, extras. And now with Scorsese so high on the buzz-o-meter thanks to 'The Departed,' it is a good time to revisit 'Casino.'

After watching the re-mastered dvd copy last year, I threw in the first dvd release. WoW thee old release of Casino looked like VHS by comparison. Have no doubts Casino in HD should be top notch.

I haven't seen this since around the time it came out on VHS... I wasn't a huge fan of it then (I was in love with Goodfellas and thought Casino to be inferior for whatever reason); however I'll be picking this up next time I see it for sale somewhere -- I'm looking forward to revisting it with fresh eyes and some perspective.

There's a mistake with a link. I arrived at this page after clicking the forum link from within the page for The Prestige Blu-ray.
