Default 'Running Scared' (German Import) - High-Def Digest Review

Just posted our latest import review, for the German HD DVD release of 'Running Scared' (2006). Kenneth didn't love the film itself, but he says its high-def presentation here is quite strong, giving both the video and the audio four star scores. No word on when Warner plans to release this one on high-def in the U.S., so fans may want to spring the extra few bucks for this German HD DVD.

I've done any research on importing or anything of its kind. Stupid question, but does this have subtitles and/or is this in English? I liked the movie enough to import to see what the hype is all about.

Optional German subtitles (not forced). Original Englishs soundtrack in DTS-HD MA as well as a dubbed German soundtrack.

I think the review was spot on. I also preferred Crank, it was loud and stupid, but at least it did'nt patronise.

I have this movie and I enjoyed it - I thought it explored subtleties of good and evil well, true evil vs. evil by association. I also like Crank for that matter, though I don't think it explored much of anything, just fun - I don't even really categorize it the same as this movie.

I loved this movie... will be waiting for New Line/Warner to release this in high-def... I have the DVD, but will gladly buy the Blu-ray version.

I enjoy the movie a lot. I need to order it, but I've had other priorities in terms of money.

Yeah, I pretty much take the opposite view of the reviewer. I think this is a great movie.

I thought running scared was much better than crank. I could not get into Crank at all.

running scared was one of those movies that wasn't marketed very well before it's release. however after watching the movie i thought it was better than Crank and A History of Violence. i'm still catching my breath on this one, damn Oleg.

All of this talk about this move got me hankering to see it again. It really is an excellent movie with many subtleties and more than skin deep whcih makes its rewatch value so much better. I would give the movie itself a much higher rating. The PQ is excellent as well.

I enjoyed this movie very much!!! Reminds me of Donnie Brasco with a faster pace. It has a lot of subtleties to it as well as being slicker and much more sly (than Donnie Brasco).

Thank you!!!

I really liked this movie and the bit where the girlfriend gets involved was a bit of a shocker... "Would you like some ice cream?"

Really liked this and was shocked to find myself enjoying a Paul Walker driven movie
