Default 'Born on the Fourth of July' - High-Def Digest review

Kenneth's review of 'Born on the Fourth of July' is up. One of Universal's stronger recent catalogue titles, Kenneth says this one boasts a strong transfer and a great audio track. The only downside is the limited supplements pckage, although Kenneth says the Oliver Stone commentary is worth the price of admission alone.

Yeah, somehow it looks like the review has not been put up, like he said. I will let Jed know.

Glad to hear the transfer is good, although it was recently remastered.

It seems Uni's just slapping on whatever master they already have to these more recent catalog releases. It's really a shame, because they probably won't be going back and remastering them again anytime in the foreseeable future.

Well it's good to hear that multiple reviewers (another link over at AVS) find this one to be a strong transfer... especially since it's sitting on my shelf, I need to watch it.

Yum, I remember how horrible the first non-anamorphic DVD looked when this film first landed on disc back in the day...aah, the memories...horrible memories.

Will definetly upgrade, when the amount of $ in my wallet agree with me.

One of the few Tom Cruise movie I enjoyed. Possibly Cruise's best work, imho. He should have won an Oscar for this one.
