Default Why is Les Triplettes de Belleville so hard to find?

Having a hell of a time tracking this title down. Did it sell poorly or were only a few pressed?

it was only pressed in France, which is a much smaller country than the US... so less buyers = less pressings. If you can find it though, pick it up, it's a fun flick, and great for kids.

Wish I had gotten an extra of this one when they were on sale...

I just bought a new copy for around $45 delivered from a french auction site called priceminister.

A little more than I wanted to pay but this disc is very hard to obtain as it had a very small pressing for france only.

I didn't want to wait for mediadis as I don't believe they will get any more stock as the title has been out of print for ages. (unless they are starting up HD DVD production lines which I highly doubt)

I have been after this film for an absolute age.

I gave up on it.

I'll just wait it out (on BD), or hopefully stumble upon it one day.

It's not that good of a movie you know but the artistic style is pleasant to watch.

This is a great movie (94% on Rotten Tomatoes, in fact). It's artistically my favorite animated movie and one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I just wish I'd bought a few extra copies when they were on sale at Amazon.fr for 10 euros. I was going to, because I thought it would be rare later, but I chickened out and besides I had other stuff I needed to buy.

Thats crazy talk man. Triplettes is one of the best animated films ever made.
It's so refreshing to watch an animated film not full of furry creatures talking to one another.

For those who've been looking for this, there's 3 copies available on ebay.fr, new for about $30 shipped to the US.

I would be interested in this as well. Send me a PM when you have them. I've sent you a couple in the last 2 weeks or so, but haven't received any word back.
