Hard to get Russian HD DVD's

Anybody ever get any of the Russian exclusive 's that were produced? I know these are the hardest 's to acquire, but just wondering if anybody ever did get any them?

Well I will try to get my hands on some russian HD DVD's. But I lost the email of my friends friend who is good at russian language. And I think I can't afford them right know so I will propably have to wait a few months before I can try to get at least one russian title that I really want in my HD DVD library.

Yeah, I have been hunting for Mr Brooks & War for a long while now, but with no luck. I asked Xploited and they tried to get hold of them for me but they couldn't help either, their contact in the region couldn't help..... These are very elusive titles......

If anyone knows of a place to order these, please let us know!

well what would really help is if we had a Russian join the forum.
seems like that would help move things along.

Exactly. I've made before 3 "testorders" from different russian Internet shops and also tried to translate the orders as careful as possible for me with Babelfish & Google.

But it seems the russians will not ship any HD DVD's to outside of russia!?

So the Russian should be able to ship the discs first to russia and then somehow ship them elsewhere for us..

I found a person at avsforums who is in Russia and was talking about a recent hd media release.
I figured I would try and recruit him to see if he could possibly help with any info regarding how to get these discs.
I sent him a message a little while ago.
Of course if he responds I'll let ya'll know.

what I did was just tell him about the forums here, and how there were some members interested in obtaining some of these hard to get Russian discs.
I mentioned that many people here could just benefit from translation help or in just finding a etailer that could send these to the US.
so anyway I'll check back over at avs and see if he has by chance responded.

EDIT: ok no response so far, but I don't even know if he's been online since I pmed him.

I looked at a bunch of Russian dvd sites last night, and this site still seems like the best bet for getting these.

Yeah, people have already tried Ozon. I contacted someone on another forum who has imported from Ozon more than once but he says that they no longer ship to the U.S. (and hasn't found another site since). Even if they will ship to the U.S. no one can seem to figure out their site.
