Just received an email that I sent to verify whether the listing of Charlie Wilson's War in HD DVD was a mistake or not here is the reply (In English):

Dear Sir Sholtis,

Thanks for your e-mail from April 16, 2008.

The DVD Charlie Wilson's War is available in a HD format, as it says on the website. Normal DVD players won't play this version.

We hope to have informed you sufficiently.

So you're saying they have this movie in stock? If it's actually coming out, I wonder who else will be stocking it. Bol.com is not very English friendly and I can't find a Dutch translater in the Google toolbar.

babelfish.altavista.com does a decent job of translating the dutch to english. That is how I survived it

Yes thats exactly what I'm saying (And they're saying). They have a slightly longer shipping estimate for it (5-10 days) then for Reservoir Dogs but no problem just as long as I get it. IF its the case we can put it into the "rare" category as well I believe. I used Google to translate everything. Incidentally I stumbled my way to the email link and sent them an email about it in English verifying info about it and the return email was in English as well. Thats the only part of the transaction between them and me that was ever in English.

According to the site its been in stock since 2/29/08.

I'm going to wait and see if DCSholtis can get his delivered and it's the real deal before I order myself, as 34 EUR + 19 EUR for shipping is quite much for one title. I haven't got any other titles in my shopping list from Holland anymore.

I think the customer service answers from bol.com may not be 100% reliable as one guy asked them earlier about subtitles in Hero HD DVD and was told that it has English subs which is not the case. I hope this one is for real though.

. What makes me think the listing is correct is the fact they also have the SD version on their site too.

I "almost" threw a copy of this in with my group buy order I placed but the 35Euro threw me off of it. That is a hard pill to swallow for a movie I haven't seen and have NO idea what the transfer etc are like. Knowing my luck it would be the SD DVD thrown on a HD15 just to piss me off and make me more broke than I already am

I made a search with the EAN code that bol.com has for this and found another source for it in Italy (of all places), they sell it as a Dutch import:

Funny that they show a 6/19 release date but a two week lead time to get it in stock. Something seems wrong...
