Default Is the Pan's Labyrinth HD DVD 5 disc set still available anywhere?

I just saw some information on this. Is it available anywhere still or is anyone selling it on here? I am very interested. Thanks for any info.

just go through Amazon France. It's still available.
There are NO English subs, but this is bound to be a collector's item for sure. I would love to have it myself.

The first 4 discs are PAL DVDs.

This piece was actually the first hd release of the movie, but not many got it because of the lack of English subs. Though it does have all those PAL discs, it has an amazing book with it with all kinds of illustrations and pics. Exceptional package for people that just adore the movie.

Here's a nice link discussing the prerelease impressions. I was going to buy it back then but backed off when I read it had forced French subs. I wonder how the PQ/AQ compare with the US release? Also, what is the difference in extras between this and the next best release of this movie, extra-wise?

I think the consensus is that the US version is definitely superior PQwise to the UK version
The 5 disc version came out first and the UK version after that. I never heard if the UK was the same transfer as the 5 disc set. The UK got a fairly good review that I posted long ago from some reviewer. From the US versions reviews I would say it would have to be better, but I personally have never seen the other 2.

btw: imo the only reason to get this "super version" is for the extras and the fantastic packaging.

btw: if you go to amazon.fr and type in "Le Labyinthe" in the search box you will see the different versions available.

It is currently around $75 because of the terrible Euro exchange rate

I'm going to get it for that, but remember everything is in Spanish with French subs.

It did, currently offered on Amazon.fr for 15.49 Euros (around $20.75) + shipping.

The only THX certified HD DVD ever released.

I'll be damned, a price drop on an import. That's the exception these days.

Yep it dropped from 22 Euro last week (I almost ordered it then) so glad I didn't. Sure is a shame that the pricing on shipping from Amazon France sucks so badly. Probably going to bite the bullet on this anyway (I already have the UK and US version so I clearly need this one to complete the set)
