Both of those have been already listed in "Titles Available for Order" section from earlier on.

Mr. Bean's Vacation still had the release date listed there though release date already passed for the UK version, I'll remove the date as the intention is to list dates only for future releases and not for those that are already out.

The German releases do pretty much always include the original audio track, so Underworld should have English audio available in the German release. Audio language is more of an issue with titles where original audio language is not English, such as Hero.

What gets released in a certain country depends entirely on those distributors who have the rights for the content in that country and their release policies and timings, e.g. whether they support HD DVD or not etc. I'm not sure if the same distributors who released Underworld Evolution in Spain and Poland have the distribution rights for the first Underworld too. If they do, they might of course decide to release it at some point there as well. So far there are only very few Spain and Poland specific releases out anyway.

My Hannibal order hasn't moved either, it still has estimated ship date of October 1st in Amazon France (no other items in the same order). I haven't heard of anybody else's order having shipped so far either.

Anyway, I do hope they start shipping Hannibal sometime soonish.
Huh, I've been planning on ordering it soon and my expected delivery time when I reach the final checkout page is some time in early September.

Maybe they just forgot about you guys? I know Amazon American does that some times when they get a shipment in earlier than expected. They were going to leave me in the cold for 3+ weeks until I called them and got them to ship me what they had.

I now cancelled my order and placed a new one. I got the following estimated shipping date now for the new order:
"Date d'envoi estimée : 10 septembre 2007 - 12 septembre 2007"

Let's see when they actually start shipping though. I think the shipping estimates are being produced by some kind of automation based on their current availability status, which in my experience is not always very reliable for new titles that have somewhat unclear actual release date...

P.S. I updated the availability information for Hannibal in the "Titles Available for Order" based on the latest Amazon FR information. Thanks Sporadic! Hopefully Amazon FR will indeed start shipping according to the latest estimate.

In the meanwhile I'm hoping to receive Hannibal Rising from Poland (Merlin.pl) soon, it was shipped one week ago and delivery time estimate was 1-2 weeks.

Good luck.

I hope you get it soon because Hannibal is one of those movies I have to have and a small mini-review before I buy/import would be nice

No problem.

Just be sure to snap some pictures of the case when you get it in

Yes, I'll sure post some impressions and pics if I get it before others have already started reporting about it I'll do that for Hannibal Rising as well.

It seems they classify HD DVD as "plus 8 zł per every CD and audiocassette", other types of items would have added 20 zł to the basic shipping fee of 20 zł. The expected delivery time is 1-2 weeks. I'll report back later regarding how the delivery went.

The ordering itself was easy enough using Merlin's instructions but Polish to English online translator was really useful at some points as well. I used http://www.poltran.com/

Unfortunately the web page for poltran was not accessible some of the time so I had to use my instincts a bit as well
Update on this order:
There was an attempted delivery today but nobody was home and they took the package back to post office. I can either go to my area's main post office and pick up tonight after 11pm tonight or request re-delivery for tomorrow (or later). (That's how the local post office operates anyway, no relation to this specific order.)

Overall experience:
- Order (Hannibal Rising HD DVD) placed at Merlin.pl: 23-Aug late evening time (while in Finland)
- Shipped by them on 24-Aug
- Delivery in Tokyo (attempted) on 31-Aug (1 week form shipment)
- There were no e-mails from Merlin.pl but their page has a convenient order status follow up view that showed when they had shipped (in Polish only though, I used www.poltran.com to figure it out)

I used their mid-priced air-mail shipping (20 zł for package + 8 zł for each HD DVD item) and estimated delivery time was 1-2 weeks and actual was 1 week (to Tokyo).

I'm happy with the way it worked out, though I haven't got the package in my hands yet. I'll post some impressions on the disc and some pics as soon as I can as well

Updates to "Titles Available for Order" section:

Added 4 Japanese releases:

- "Ashura (Ashura-jô no hitomi)"
- "The Castle of Sand (Suna no utsuwa)"
- "Fall Guy (Kamata koshin-kyoku)"
- "The Yellow Handkerchief of Happiness (Shiawase no kiiroi hankachi)"

These are Japanese movies released earlier by Shochiku Home Video, with no English audio/subtitles. 3 newly announced Shochiku Home Video releases will also be added when they become available for pre-order e.g. in Amazon Japan.
