Besides, Resident Evil 1, 2 will be out today/tomorrow, anybody interested on buying it ??
Thanks!

It looks like Amazon Germany doesn't have them in stock yet, as both have availability status "usually ships in 2-5 weeks". Recent German releases have been mostly a bit slow to become available there anyway. It seems two 3rd party sellers (in Amazon Germany) have Resident Evil 1 in stock though so it should be out for real now. For the 2nd one, there are no 3rd party sellers there yet either. Xploited Cinema might get them soon anyway, let's see.

I had these 2 on order earlier but I canceled that order when I did some re-planning on what to purchase, there are so many interesting titles coming out these days.

Today Amazon Germany finally got stock of "Hooligans" (one week after release date) and shipped my disc Looking forward to it!

And I received another recent German release "Wish You Were Here" from Xploited Cinema today. I'll post some impressions when I've had time to watch it, hopefully soon.

You ordered it from Xploited Cinema, right? I just got my 2nd ever order delivered from there today. It seems shipping times for orders from Xploited to Japan seem to be very close to 2 weeks. My first order was shipped on a Friday and arrived on Friday 2 weeks later. My 2nd order was again shipped on a Friday and arrived on a Thursday almost 2 weeks later.

Interestingly both orders seemed to have been shipped from Europe based on the postage stickers. First one was shipped from Germany (contained a Spanish and a Polish release) and this 2nd one was shipped from Sweden (Malmö) (contained a German release). Maybe Xploited has some arrangements for European import discs to be shipped directly from Europe to non-U.S. destinations. The delivery times are slower than with European online stores though, as my orders from Europe usually arrive in 3-5 days from shipping. Anyway, Xploited's shipping is definitely cheaper than Amazon Germany's or France's for small packages.

Just reached a new "milestone" on disc count at 150 I broke 100 with Band of Brothers in late July so my collection has been growing quite fast the last 2 months... I think I need to slow it down a bit now!

"Black Christmas (2006)" seems to be getting released in Germany as well, by Concorde on 5-Dec:

http://www.amazon.de/Black-Christmas...97721&sr=1-195

Since it's not an import-exclusive because Weinstein already released it in the U.S., I'm not including it in the Title list. Interesting anyhow.

Added another Title:

Abba: The Movie (UK release) (29-Oct)
Amazon UK $25.85 (Ł12.76)

I guess it's technically a movie, and it's directed by Lasse Hallström so it can't be too bad! Abba was my favorite band around the time when this movie was made

It used to be 12-Nov. Possible delay of one week?

My order still shows estimated ship date as 12-Nov and Sendit.com also still shows 12-Nov as release date. I will not change the release date in "Titles Available for Order" section for now pending further confirmation.
Confirmed that release date is now 19-Nov. See some info at Optimum Online Shop: http://www.optimumdvdstore.com/film.php?id=640.

Also updated the release date and added this link to "Titles Available for Order".
Found the link via HD DVD format blog.

Added the following 3 upcoming Japanese Titles:

The Hidden Blade (Kakushi ken oni no tsume) (Japan release) (28-Nov)
Amazon Japan (placeholder, not yet available)
Yes Asia $44.49 (free international shipping)
Warning: English subtitles' availability unknown. To be confirmed.

Love and Honor (Bushi no Ichibun) (Japan release) (28-Nov)
Amazon Japan (placeholder, not yet available)
Yes Asia $44.49 (free international shipping)
Warning: English subtitles' availability unknown. To be confirmed.

The Twilight Samurai (Tasogare Seibei) (Japan release) (28-Nov)
Amazon Japan (placeholder, not yet available)
Yes Asia $44.49 (free international shipping)
Warning: English subtitles' availability unknown. To be confirmed.

Amazon Japan is likely to sell them at 3600 yen each (tax-free international price) in the pre-order phase. That equals $31.09. I expect them to become available for pre-order pretty soon there.

They are still unlisted at Shochiku Home Video's home page. I also expect them to appear there very soon with spec information.

I sure hope they will include those English subs that they have included in corresponding SD DVDs, though none of the currently available information indicates that they would include them...

I have received an e-mail from Amazon France cancelling my order for Hannibal on HD-DVD. It had already been delayed once but now sounds like it has been delayed indefinitely. You may want to double check your pre-orders too.

I pre-ordered all three a few days ago from YesAsia. SHV's DVDs of Ashura-jo no Hitomi and Shinobi have English subtitles but the HD DVDs did not. So most likely, these three will not have them either unless they've changed their policy. The Twilight Samurai, The Hidden Blade and Love and Honor are among my favourite movies, can't wait to watch them in HD. Hopefully it doesn't stop with this, I'd like to see some more titles announced soon, preferably with subs of course.

I'm waiting for them to appear in Amazon Japan as I expect the price to be cheapest there (for pre-orders), should be 25 % off from the MRSP and their domestic shipping is free for purchases worth more than 1500 yen. I expect I need to pay 3780 yen for each there.

I'll order them all regardless of English subtitles as well, but I'm hoping they would include them. Shochiku Home Video seems to update their page with info on new upcoming DVD / HD DVD releases at the end of each month, at least last time they updated on 8/31. I guess they will update tomorrow since 9/30 (today) is a Sunday. I'm expecting the details would be up there by the end of tomorrow... I'm keeping an eye out for them.

I've bought all the earlier SHV HD DVD releases now except Fall Guy / Kamata koshin-kyoku. Will get that at some point as well...

Although YesAsia has the higher retail price, I think it may be about the same cost for me in total as there are no shipping or customs fees when buying from them.

I've checked the SHV web page from time to time, I didn't know about their once a month updates. Anyway, hopefully there will be some (good) news tomorrow.

I also intend to get the SHV releases that I havn't already got later.

Default Received my Amazon.de Imports! with something extra!

I received my Amazon.de shipment (within 4 days) of "Silent Hill" and "Underworld" the other day... along with an extra surprise!
A ROACH came along for the plane ride to the US

I opened the box and out poped my HD DVD's and a freaking humongus (LIVING) bug (IN HD).. It freaked me out!

After the murder of my uninvited German guest I decontaminated myHD DVD boxes and poped in "Silent Hill" and WOW what a awsome picture!!!

Oh and It seems according to Amazon.de via email and bable fish "Resident Evil" has been postponed till December

Still freaked out about that bug

UPDATE: Amazon.de sent me a new e-mail just now "Resident Evil" was postponed but now with a release date of October 12th, thats better
Though I'm going to have to open the box out side when it arrives!

Love and Honor (Bushi no Ichibun) (Japan release) (28-Nov)
Amazon Japan (placeholder, not yet available)
Yes Asia $44.49 (free international shipping)
Link to SHV's page: http://www.shochiku.co.jp/video/japa...hd/hdb009.html

The Twilight Samurai (Tasogare Seibei) (Japan release) (28-Nov)
Amazon Japan (placeholder, not yet available)
Yes Asia $44.49 (free international shipping)

I updated the corresponding information to the "Titles Available for Order" section as well.
