Finally I received my Silent Hill HD DVD (Local Release for me). The PQ is excellent and the DTS HD MA Track sounds great (This movie has a damn good audio track in general and the DTS-HD track makes it even better). I did listen to the DTS HD MA 6.1 German Track, but the English DTS HD 5.1 HR Track is great as well.

This is reference Material in PQ for me, I can really recommence this release to anyone!

I plan on ordering a copy of this pretty soon. So much for Blu-Ray's exclusive titles, lol.

I love this movie. It is very close to the games. I think it falls apart a little towards the end - the scene with the lady's face burning off was just terrible. Still a great film and I hope the sequel turns out well despite the original director's departure.

I agree, i was really impressed with the look and design of the movie, but i also agree with the other poster about the face burning scene, that was just gratuitous.
I thought Radha Mitchell was pretty good in it, she made her character very sympathetic, she made up for the actress playing the cop, she was terrible, but then again, the lines she was given were pretty terrible.
