Default Death Proof (German Release) pics

Hadn't time to watch the movie yet, but PQ and AQ seem to be quite okay - except of the first hour of curse .

hd dvd

Got it last night at Amoeba Music in Hollywood. Picture quality pretty much matches the blu ray release. Had to get this one for the packaging though and the price was not terrible ($19.99 sealed). Also picked up the HD DVD of Bonnie and Clyde sealed for only $7.99.

What's the word on the supplemental features on this one as compared to the US SD-DVD? Just wondering if I can outright replace the SD-DVD on my shelf with the HD-DVD. Thanks.

Got mine in today and I must say that they are easily the shiniest shrink wrap I have ever seen. Unfortunatly, I have 5 small children (5 and under) in my theatre room shrieking at Wall-E at the moment so I don't expect to get to see it until MUCH later tonight if not tomorrow

I really like this steelbook case, and for now going to keep both sealed. Watched this on Blu-ray the other day and preferred Planet Terror a bit more. Again, very cool looking case

I watched DEATH PROOF for the first time last night. I haven't seen the version yet, but the version sure looked amazing! Senator produced a top notch transfer with superb clarity and detail and a 3 dimensional effect throughout. The first half of the film where Tarantino makes it look like a 70's transfer with grain, film cuts, artifacts, etc, only adds to its beauty. Colors really pop on this disc and the 2nd act where Tarantino doesn't mess with the film elements, they look even more amazing.(i.g The scene where the two girls are talking about trying to get the guy to let them take the car for a test drive) Overall, this is a quality release and only makes me sad because this is probably the last ever to be produced.

Great disc!

I preferred Planet Terror in the theaters, but the critics were all about Death Proof. I would't mind getting Planet Terror as a companion (on RED), but am in no hurry to pay $25 to get it on Blu.

I support but I will continue to buy at these prices!

Don't even get me started on this "bailout" (a.k.a. raping the tax payers) plan

This movie rocks! I lived in both Texas and Tennessee (the 2 settings for the movie) and could identify with the mannerisms and culture there (which undoubtedly added to my enjoyment). I have Vanishing Point on DVD, but I'll need to pick it up on BD after seeing this.

That's awesome! Ironically they shot most of the scenery/car chase up in the central coast. Templeton, and off of the 101.

We've driven in that area, and it blows my mind!
