Jimi Hendrix: Monterey impressions

Comes in a UK style case and inside has a 20+ page booklet which was nice.

The menu is your normal animated fare of Jimi summoning the fire from his guitar with Killing Floor playing. The American Landing documentary is split in two and placed before and after the concert. It doesn't seem to be in HD but it is in 16:9.

When it comes to PQ, it doesn't look that good. It's in OAR 4:3. Very grainy with alot of scratches/dirt. It ranges from decent to very blurry.

AQ is much better. It has DTS-MA 5.1 & PCM Stereo and it sounds fantastic.

All of the extras seem to be in SD and are in 4:3.

It said on the cover that it had "new interactive download option" but when I tried to access it on my Xbox add-on, it immediately crashed with an error. Tried to access it on my Dad's HD-A2 and they haven't put anything up yet.

Overall, this is for very hardcore Jimi Hendrix fans only.

I just got this in the mail yesterday thanks to sellers on Amazon.co.uk selling this really cheap. Aside some my copy kind of being squished, this is a great package. I spent a good 20 minutes just reading through the booklet, just engulfed in the epicness of it all with the art.

This is actually a pretty impressively put together little package, with a lot of extras. I'm currently watching it and wow. I'm honestly surprised I never picked this up on SD DVD, but now I'm glad I have this. Definitely worth the $8 I paid for it, smushed case or not. lol

I figure with Monday/Tuesday nights off from work, I'll watch the main feature then.

Just to clarify, the 66 minute "live at Monterrey" IS the main feature, right?

Yes, it's the "chapter selection".
