Careful Ben1080p...Blade Runner is an amazing piece of work. Peter isn't the only one that bows to it's greatness. Blade Runner is one of those films, that gets better the more you watch it.

It's like any good piece of art. Sometimes, it takes a few listens to get to the "heart" of it.

I tried watching last night...But kept on falling asleep after the first hour or so. Im going to try and watch it again tonight to soo I can focus more on it.
Afterall I did Blind buy it and really want to enjoy it. And the PQ is more like a 4, 4.5 IMO. I didnt see the original(saw the crappy quality in the trailer though),, so I understand its a major upgrade but still not a 5!

DAMN, i just watched crank, it was a blind buy from germany, even after hearing numerous friends complain about how bad it was, but i got it anywho just for the action and the fact taht its a tier 0 transfer. But i watched it...and i think 4 words sum it up perfectly awesome, ridiculous, amazing, and most importantly unnecessary lol everything about it is contrived, but i was laughing the whole way through it.. absolutley awesome flick...i agree though, best hd transfer ive seen possibly even better than transformers, and up there with beowulf great job...highly recommended

This is one I double dipped on. I have the US and the German . The is obviously the better transfer but like you, Soup I laughed my ass off through almost the whole movie. Found it freaking hillarious. And I still haven't watched the "Fuck You" disc yet I keep meaning too but just forgot about it.

man so many of my friends thought it was bad, but after watching it just now, i cant possibly see how, it was awesome...like i said i think the best word to describe it is unnecessary, but thats whats so awesome about, the director didnt try to pretend that it was something it wasnt, i love how stripped down it is, and that also, since its an all out action fest, makes it hilarious its almost like its an action genre spoof movie like shaun of the dead is for zombies lol

If I already own Crank on Blu-ray, is this still a worthy import?

See thats how I thought about it too. In those scenes where he would be going along with his business then matter of factly turn and blow someone way was hillarious!

thats the way to go, if you can take non stop action with a totally contrived plot that doesnt even take itself seriously, this is definitely the movie for you....you;l seriously be laughing your whole way through it....ive been watching the island now too, and while the video isnt as good as crank, its still a solid teir 1 title id say, and the audio is freakin amazing, dynamics and surround use are spectacular, and the movie, while ive never seen it before, is pretty damn good too...two points for michael bay, though he loses one for Pearl Harbor...

Good to hear you got the import Soup, well worth it. I agree, I loved the movie as well. I think the reason a lot of people didn't like it was cause it didn't have much plot. The way I see action movies is that as long as it's got at least some plot and keeps the action flowing the whole time, it's OK, if it's not much action, then plot needs to make up for it. With that being said, I don't think Crank's plot is the greatest, but it works cause the entire movie is a non-stop thrill-ride from start to finish.

I'm glad it did I also have to agree here. The transfer on this was stunning and the action was hysterical. The Chinese people all cheering and then "reporting" it on the news was great! Only thing that I didn't like personally was the ending which I felt was rushed and they could have done so much better.

Had to bump this thread. I finally got "Crank" on BD and lord have mercy, the picture is hands down the best I've seen on any blu-ray I've purchased or rented. It's so clear, it's scary! You can see every pore and bead of sweet on everyone's faces. This is THE disc to demo. And just last week, I was saying the same thing about "The Other Boleyn Girl". That too has a jaw dropping picture. Very very very happy with both purchases.
