Default BUG HD-DVD @ Xploited

Xploitedcinema.com just got in BUG if anyone is interested. 34.99. Came out to $52 at amazon.de so pretty good price. I liked this film, most didnt but i thought it was pretty disturbing when he started ripping out his teeth.

I honestly thought this was one of the worst movies I had seen in a while. I would not recommended that anyone blind buy this one, but for a fan of the movie, importing this HD DVD may be an option.

That's a really decent price, I may have to check that out. I loved the movie! Everyone in the theater went in expecting a horror movie, and it's more of a psychological horror than anything else. It's brilliantly acted, and well-directed.

no, this is definetly not a blind buy for anyone that has not seen the movie. Its not a horror movie, but it will mind rape you. Very discusting vibe from it. Ashley Judd did an awsome job and looks pretty good naked still. Not at the top of my list for imports but will probably pick it up.

Tony also said he should have Crank next week

great movie, but i can see that it's definitely a love it or hate it type thing. I like that they advertised it as a buggy movie, but then its all in their minds.....or is it.....

The twisted half of me wants this disc, and the twisted half of me usually gets his way. I'm fascinated by any film that draws as much reaction as this one.

Friedkin is one of my favorite directors. He's whack. And you've got to admit that 'Bug' does not come across as the work of a 71 year old man. Love it or hate it, the reason it's so "under your skin"...pardon the pun, is because it was so effectively put together.

The 'twisted half' of me already ordered it from Explioted (along with Death at a Funeral). The other half of me went to cancel it but Tony is just too quick for his own good (says already shipped 2 minutes after ordering ).

Anyway, it's very provocative when people say it's unique, intense and great, but at the same time not recommending a blind buy.

Yes, it is primarily intense, and in my opinion well crafted; but "great" is an adjective each person will have to apply, or not.

You make an excellent point: it is definitely NOT a title I would recommend as a blind buy.

My "Bug" has shipped from Amazon Germany last night as well. My order also contained "Death at a Funeral" and they shipped it separately about half a day earlier at no extra cost.

I have also "Hooligans" (earlier Ascot Elite release) and I was very happy with that one. Expecting/hoping "Bug" to be a good VC-1 transfer also.

Hell yes!! This is one of the films I was really jealous would not be coming to HD DVD. Gotta just love importing. I know some people didnt like this film and its definitly not for everyone but I absolutely loved it and its easily in my top 10 films this year. It had without a single doubt some of the most disturing acting scenes ever put on film and I think one can make an argument that Ashley Judd's performance in the last 15 minutes is in fact the single most disturbing performance ever filmed. I have always questioned how good of an actress she was but was just absolutely blown to kingdom come by her performance in this film. I would have never guessed she was capable of a performance like that.

I am ordering this sucker right now if its available. Another blow to the Blu ray exclusive library!!! HD DVD importing strikes again and once again gives me no reason whatsoever to support Blu ray again.

hmmm when i saw this thread, i thought about the sega saturn game, then i read it and i'm like "oooh... psycological movie" i love them... slasher films suck. what's the retail for the americian bd? if it sells on amazon for 20 usd i won't but the hd... but if it's 27-30 on amazon i'll import because it's a small price to be more exotic. i hope he gives us a good price on crank as he did for lord of war. what's up with japaneese movies being so expensive?
