Smile Recommendations on Stand Alone HD-DVD Rare Player

You guys won't believe this, but sorry it took me so long to ask this question. I looked up a particular electronic store in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, between sixth and seventh street on Broadway to be exact. I went in about a week ago on a hot day and he was selling a brand new Toshiba HD-A2 for $100.00. I opened the box because the retailer let me and the two movies that came with it were brand new and shrinkwrapped and in the white foam and everything. It was in mint condition and brand new. I told him I would be doing some more looking around. Low and behold I know a certain business walk way downtown because I used to work for Law Enforcement down there.

Now get this. I go into an establishment that just sales electronics and I look up after asking a guy about HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. Guess what I saw? You guessed it. A LG BH100. I didn't act to excited about it because I didn't want anyone to know how valuable the item was. So, I asked how much for it. He said $200.00. Then he was pestering me a bit like an aggressive salesman should. Then, after all the bargaining he said $120.00. My question to you guys is that should I have just purchased it just because? I would assume that the item was used or refurbished. I know downtown very well because there's a great deal of refurbished and used items down there. However, for $120.00 do you think I should take my chances gang? It is still there and I'm just itching to grab a rare player that at a brand new price is about $800.00 or more easily. Thanks. I really need your help on this one from all of you. Even the moderators should get in on this one. The inetvideo representative told me I should have jumped on it. Once again, what do you all think? I tell you, I know some of the most back door places in Los Angeles. Peace....

I like my BH200, but the 100 sounds like a mess.

I've never heard anything positive about the BH100.

A new BH100 just sold on ebay for $330, so I would say grab it at $120 if you are wanting it more for resale/rarity value, rather than functionality. However, if you use it than the value goes way down.
