Default Did you buy a back-up player?

Just curious if anyone bought a back-up, specifically for that purpose and what your general strategy is some years down the road in terms of your HD DVD movies and how to play them.

What is your real player?

What is your back-up player?

I seem to go back and forth (still) with my A30 and my 360 add on. I really prefer the 360 add on because the remote is just easier to use, the menu's and remote design is just more user friendly imo, the bad thing is my 360 is not HDMI so the add on is 1080i (though my HD TV is 1080p). Plus the 360 add on, while noisier seems to play discs my A30 would glitch on.

I have to many backup solution's for my movies than I would admit, Let's just say I'll be able to play my HD DVD's when people won't even remember what it was.

No, even though I really feel like I should though... Maybe I eventually will, but I just have other priorities right at the moment so that's on hold. An A35 at a sweet price might tempt me though.

I have several back up players. The prices were just to good to pass up. I use an A3 as my main player. i also have for back up an A2 and A20 plus 4 360 hd dvd add on drives i purchased for $10 each off ebay. Altogether i have spent $115 on back up players, was well worth it to me considering i like to collect electronics and my hd dvd library is almost at the 200 mark.

I have a primary A1 and another plus an SHD7000 as backups. But I'm trying to unload the SHD7000 so I'll probably be down to just the two A1s soon.

I don't have a back-up. Been thinking about it since I've been buying some of the cheap titles but they are still more expensive than I would like.

Every once in awhile I will see someone mention their player has already died which concerns me. Can't believe some of them quit working after such a short period.

Onkyo DVP-HD805 is my primary player, still under Onkyo warranty until this summer. And A20 hooked up the 19" LCD in the den, A30 in the closet (no, it's not gay, just not being used )

I bought a PC drive that plays blu ray and HD DVD originally, and i bought the 360 attachment player off of eBay and got in the mail yesterday.

I'm actually looking for a proper player at the moment, or one of those LG combo players, shame im having no luck in Australia though.

I got a good deal on a BH200 (plus the $75 rebate, thanks to gkrykewy and GizmoDVD) so now it's my main player, and I'm finally Purple. I put my A3 back in the box for my backup.
