Yeah mine just arrived today and I love it! Great Machine! Why is it hard to find in Australia?

I think by the time they release it, the format war ended, from memory, don't quote me on it though

I have a fleet of back up players. The models I own, HD-XA2, HD-A20, HD-A30, HD-A1, LG BH200, Samsung BD-UP5000 and the XBox 360 add-on. I sold my Onkyo DV-HD805 back ups so those are gone and I will sell a couple more players soon. I plan to always have HD DVD players connected to my three displays but the quantity of back up players I own is absurd. I haven't put much use on my original HD-A1 and haven't had any problems with it at all.

And the last time I looked, Fry's had sold out on that deal (and a subsequent similar one) anyway. Funny to watch - a full year after the HD-DVD format "died" - and yet Fry's just keeps on selling them . . .

I deliberately didn't point out that I have more than one of several of those models, everybody would know how much of a nutcase I am and I was pulling for the format to go bye bye from the start although I purchased players for both formats early, the Toshiba HD-A1 and Samsung BD-P1000.

I like the selection and retail options and rental options for software much better now that we have only one current format. I purchased my first new HD DVD disc after Toshiba pulled the plug and now own over 300 and I owned about 25 before that, freebies and used purchases only up to that point.

Toshiba RD-A301 is my main unit since I use it for HDTV recording.
HD-XF2 (similar to HD-A2) is my backup player now, kept in the closet.
I also have 2 LG GGW-H20N drives (HD DVD players + BD burners) on my PC.

I bought a 2nd of those PC drives when the availability started to get more limited in B&M stores here as I figured it's best to have 2 if my original drive broke down at some point.
